POWERING POSSIBILITIES
The MidAtlantic Resiliency Link proposal was selected in 2023 by PJM Interconnection, the area’s Regional Transmission Organization, as part of a set of solutions needed to address the regional grid’s reliability needs.

WHY IT'S IMPORTANT
The MidAtlantic Resiliency Link will help modernize our energy infrastructure, enabling the delivery of reliable power to millions of people in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Maryland and Virginia. Transmission lines are the arteries of America’s energy system, connecting communities and supporting the nation’s economic growth and security.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR INPUT
After an extensive and community-focused routing study, the MidAtlantic Resiliency Link team has submitted certificate applications to the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission, the Public Service Commission of West Virginia, the Maryland Public Service Commission and the Virginia State Corporation Commission. This marks a significant step toward modernizing the region’s energy infrastructure. The application includes the proposed transmission route that was identified after community feedback, field reviews and technical studies.
We expect each state’s utility commission will take one to two years to review the full application.

WORKING ALONGSIDE THE COMMUNITY
Our proposed route reflects extensive community feedback. We hosted eight open houses along the proposed route, where our team met with nearly 1,200 attendees. We analyzed over 1,500 comments from community members at open houses, through online surveys, phone and email inquiries. We engaged in one-on-one meetings with local commissioners and elected officials and held more than 350 meetings with local organizations, businesses and associations. We are submitting the proposed route to each state's utility commission. Each one can take one to two years to review the full application and analyses.
Stakeholder and Public Meetings
We value building strong community relationships through ongoing one-on-one meetings and appreciate everyone who attended our open houses. We look forward to continuing these important conversations.
Landowner Engagement
We work closely with landowners and are committed to treating every property owner with respect and professionalism.
